Rockland BOCES School Library system - West Nyack, N.Y. Presentation at the Superintendent’s Conference Day


The Rockland BOCES school librarians understand the necessity of providing data to implement the goals of their school library programs. Working with the school librarians, I presented a day-long training on the process of action research. Using the steps explained in the Howard and Eckhardt’s (2005) Action Research: A Guide for the School Library Media Specialist, the school librarians learned the process of collecting and triangulating data to use for improving their programs.

District 11 Colorado Springs, Colorado.


District 11 was in the process of identifying sample lessons to be made available for the classroom teachers. I worked with elementary and secondary school librarians to collaborate with the classroom teachers to integrate information literacy with the content lessons. These lessons were then designated as best practices lessons.

Colorado State Library - Developing and presenting training sessions for the Power Library Program

Maryland State Library - Evaluation of the Library Association Training Institute (LATI)

Minnesota State Library - Evaluated the Library Voluntary Certification Program.

Library Consortium (CLiC) - Presented ten training throughout Colorado for school library personel. Title: CSAP + Collaboration + Librarians = Success.
